PurlsteadRow Counter · Extenup

Privacy policy

Effective date: September 6, 2026. Applies to Purlstead: Row Counter version 0.1.0, package `com.extenup.stitchcounter`, developed by Extenup.

No app data sent to Extenup

Purlstead has no internet permission, account system, advertising, analytics, billing or tracking SDK. It does not transmit projects, patterns, notes or app usage to Extenup. Processing takes place on your device.

Data on your device

Project names, craft type, counter values, bounded count history, yarn and tool details, notes, next-step notes, colors and imported PDF copies are stored in this app's private storage. The app keeps a previous saved library and its attachments for recovery. When recovery is explicitly requested, a damaged library file may be preserved as recovery evidence. These files are not sent to Extenup.

Deleting a project removes it from the current library. An earlier saved copy may retain previous information until that copy is replaced. Recovery evidence may remain in private storage. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes app-private data, subject to Android/device behavior. Neither action deletes archives you exported to another location. Automatic app backup and device-transfer backup are disabled in the app configuration; keep your own exports rather than relying on device backup.

Files you choose

Android's system document picker grants access to the individual PDF or project archive you select. Purlstead does not request access to your entire storage library. Imported PDFs are copied into app-private storage; changing or deleting that copy does not modify your original document.

An exported .stitchproj archive includes the project details, notes, counters, up to 100 recent count events and any attached PDF. Archives are not encrypted. Anyone with access to an archive can read its contents. The destination or cloud document provider you select is governed by that provider's own terms; Purlstead does not independently upload files to a service. Share only patterns you are entitled to share.

Data loss and control

There is no remote account or server copy to restore. Export important projects regularly. Uninstalling, clearing storage, device loss or device failure can remove the local library. Imports create separate copies and are not synchronization.

Support

If you voluntarily email Extenup, your email provider delivers your address, message and attachments to our email provider. Support correspondence is used to respond to your request and maintain the support record. Requests to delete voluntary support correspondence can be sent to extenup@gmail.com. Do not send private patterns or notes unless needed and you have permission to do so.

Changes

If a later version changes data handling, this policy and the in-app privacy information will be updated.
